Well, today is my last day of freedom! Starting tomorrow, I will play host to several writers from throughout the United States for most of the week and the weekend. Last night, I was lucky to get home by 7:30 p.m. and then spent the evening cleaning around our home and working on a few personal projects I am trying to finish.
Speaking of projects, I have several friends expecting new lil ones this summer, and I am trying to determine something special to get them. One friend, Elissa, was my first friend at UT and the other friend, Lisa, is a work colleague, who has become a good friend. I want to get them something really original and monogrammed, but not sure where to begin. Here are a few of my favorite ideas:

2. Sweet Tea - I am a southern girl at heart, and love sweet tea with lemon! The sweet the better.

i don't know how crafty you are (or if you have a sewing machine) but the last gift i made for an expecting friend was my own version of an udder cover. (if you haven't seen these they are like an apron with some boning sewed in at the top so you can watch your little one nurse in privacy - even when you are around friends)

a southern girl and sweet tea made me laugh. Have you ever been to a northern state?!?? They DO NOT have sweet tea. Isn't that INSANITY!
