3 Down........63 To Go

Whew!! I made it, and I am pumped! I finished reading through the 3rd book of the Bible, Leviticus. And I am so excited and relieved. Leviticus is a very hard book of the Bible to read because of all those laws. And, before this study that is all I thought it was........LAWS. Why did the Israelites need all those laws and rituals? How did those laws and rituals apply to my life? Lots of Why, Why, Why. And the Lord answered alot of my whys and I truly began to fall in love with Leviticus.

I am still so amazed by the group of women God has placed together ONLINE to take this journey together. Its still not too late to join in, you can click here and jump on into Numbers today.

I wanted to share my Top 3 Things I took away from this study of Leviticus, some quotes are taken directly from the study:

1. The Core Message of Leviticus: The Lord saying, the toughest part of His Plan, the part that's costliest to Him, is to make me holy.

2. The Distance we place between us and God is the most lethal problem we have.

3. All 27 Chapters of Leviticus are written to let us know that relationship with the Lord is ALWAYS the issue that trumps every other concern, and relating to the Lord will always, always be on His Terms.

Lately, I have been consumed with worry about some personal concerns. However, in the back of my mind I will admit that I questioned why the Lord was not doing something to help eliminate these concerns in my life. And to be honest, I was getting a little frustrated. Yet, as I have been reading Leviticus I realize that the Lord wants me to holy in any situation more than He wants me to figure out what to do to improve the situation.

I realized that I was trying to fit the Lord into My plans, to get me to where I wanted to go. However, now I am focused on what it would mean to be holy, putting the Lord first, and allowing His character to be revealed. And, this has causing big changes in my heart and life. PTL!!!

Have a great rest of the week.
