Last Few Weeks of Summer

In our local area, kids are heading back to school next week, and I am just shocked that "summer" is nearly over.  In 5 weeks we will celebrate Labor Day and jump straight into fall.  So, I thought this would be a fun time to pick a few goals to work towards in the next 5 weeks.

Goal #1 - Re-establish my Workout Routine
This summer I really let my daily workouts fall off, and have only been working out 1 to 2 days a week.  My goal for the next 3 weeks is to workout 5-6 days a week, and I really am focused to starting every workday with a workout.

Goal #2 - Say goodbye to Sweet Tea
Nearly a year ago, I said goodbye to my soda addiction and also cut out sweet tea; however, this summer, I have been drinking tea a lot more and I really need to cut it out of my daily diet.

Goal #3 - Go to bed by 10:30 p.m.
I am a night owl, but I really need to get more sleep.  For the next 6-weeks I really want to focus on getting into bed by 10:30 p.m. each night, which will help with getting up at 5:30 a.m. for workouts and quiet time.

Goal #4 - Keep my schedule organized.
I am excited to begin using my new Simplified Planner beginning on August 1st.  I am looking forward to this new planner keeping me organized and help me plan for all that life throws at me.

Goal #5 - Say goodbye to clutter.
I like to keep a clutter free house, and I've noticed lately that I need to take time and clean out closets, drawers, and everything in between.  I am going to launch into a summer cleaning challenge in the coming weeks, and will share all the details on Instagram.

What about you?  Do you have any goals for the final weeks of summer?

I will check back in next week, to let you know how my 5 Goals in 6 Weeks in going.

Have a great Wednesday!!

In the Summertime.................

I have been singing this song all week!!  I am excited summer is here, and even though the hot temps are not great for a gal who doesn't wear shorts, I still love all that summer brings.  Speaking of summer, here a few casual outfits that I plan to add to my closest soon.

The Unofficial Start to Summer.............

Hello.....Long Weekend! I am excited the unofficial start to summer is here on this Memorial Day Weekend!  I simply love summer time.  In our house it usually means a little more travel, a lot more time with friends and family, and enjoying the sun being up until 9pm!

When I hopped on here this morning, I realized that I have not blogged since March.....eek!  I am not sure why this season in my life did not lead to me blogging more, but every time I would hop on to blog, my mind would just go blank.  However, I have some ideas on future blog topics, so hopefully this summer I can get back into the swing of blogging again.

Okay, back to Memorial Day fun!  We kicked off the weekend by heading to Nashville for the Jimmy Buffett Concert at the Ascend Amphitheater. We had an awesome time, and I loved seeing Jimmy at this new venue.  Definitely my new favorite venue to date for seeing Buffett.

We headed to Nashville on Thursday Morning for an afternoon of shopping at Opry Mills and then relaxing in our hotel room at Gaylord Opryland Hotel.

We had some fun with SnapChat this weekend.

Entertaining myself on the drive with some Red Nose Day Fun!

Next we headed downtown to eat at Puckett's.  The food was awesome,
and the perfect pre-Concert meal.

Trying to stay dry..........it rained for about 30 minutes before the concert.
But, then it stopped and the weather was PERFECT!

Found our seats and waiting out the rain.

So thankful my hubby introduced me to Buffett over 10 years ago!

And yes, I have been wearing this shirt for over 10 years to Buffett Concerts.

On Friday Morning, we got up and headed back to Opry Mills so I could meet up and catch up with a good friend, and then we headed off to Franklin to shop downtown.
It was a perfect day, and loved wandering in and out of these fun shops.

We ended our time at Gary's for a late lunch.
After eating, we headed back east for a 5 hour drive home.

We had a great time kicking off the holiday weekend, and I am excited for all the summer holds.

Happy Summer!
