Good Tuesday Morning!!! I don't know about you, but trying to keep up with life lately has been a little overwhelming. Work has been crazy busy, and trying to fight off stress some days can be a little challenging. Along with civic responsibilities, church activities, keeping our home in order, cooking every once in awhile, and everything else, it just seems like life becomes a blur most days.
Last night, as I took a little time to relax and get caught back up with my "blog friends", I came across Living Proof Ministries Blog, aka Beth Moore's ministry, with a post challenging readers to Philippians 2:14-16a
"Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life."
The Challenge: Go through the entire day, from the first moment of waking until shutting our eyes on our pillows tonight without a single criticism or complaint.
Since it was 10 p.m., it was a little late to participate in the challenge. So I decided to apply this challenge today. Why? With the craziness of life lately, I decided this is the best way to find a little balance in the day. Its so easy to get caught up in the "negative" of life and complain about things that shouldn't really be a second thought. Negative thoughts take away so much energy and time, and making an attempt to only think positive and focus on the good, will ultimately bring peace and allow the Lord to shine through me.
So what about you, could you go an entire day with a criticism or complaint????
