Striving to Live a Life of Adventure, Excellence, and Faith.

15 Years Ago Today..........

It was 1996.  I was a rising junior in high school, completely obsessed with playing tennis and the trumpet, and life was treating me well.  I had a wonderful group of friends, and on any given summer day I was busy rising early to play tennis, off to work for a few hours at my dad's work, taking trumpet lessons, talking on the phone with my best friend Allison for a minimum of 5 hours a day (I am sooo not kidding), and enjoying the life of a teenager.

Dinner at Damon's with my closest gals!

One June afternoon, one of my close friends mentioned her boyfriend's best friend was interested in asking me out.  I quickly agreed to meet him (I had a secret crush for a few months), and before I knew it the boyfriend's best friend was on my door step.  Our first date was simple, yet was a night that changed my life forever.  We double dated and watched the movie "Money Train" (classy I know), and then after my friend and her boyfriend left, we sat outside on the swings and talked for HOURS.   We got to know one another, and little did I know that those hours would turn into years.

Summer quickly ended, and he was off to college.  We decided to "see what happened," and in all honestly, when he left for school, I didn't think I would hear from him again.  However, to my surprise he called the next day, and the rest if history.

 Senior Prom 1998

Today, is the 15th anniversary of the day I met my husband.  I can think back over the years, and the 29th of June always brings back amazing memories.  When we finally decided to tie the knot, we decided the ONLY day we could get married was June 29th.  So at 7:30 p.m. on June 29, 2007 (exactly 11 years to the date and time as our first date), we said "I Do."

 Wedding Day - June 29, 2007

To say life has always been smooth sailing would not give you an accurate picture of our incredible story.  After dating for 7 years, we decided to see what happened if we went different directions; however, within a few years and still being active in one another's lives, we knew that our love was meant to be.

 Birthday Celebration - 2005

Since 2007, our love has grown deeper and more amazing with each passing day.  I don't know how my heart could love someone more; however, each day I am reminded that I love him more than the day before.  I know this seems sappy, but our love just works.  Its easy.  It always has been.  So to that, I say:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my one and only!  (Who always makes me laugh!!)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to the man that I am thrilled beyond words to spend the rest of my life with!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to the Love of My Life!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!
