I want to start this post with a small explanation of my level of excitement for this past week. And, to be honest, until Friday evening I could not put in words why I was so over-the-top excited about the Royal Wedding. However, last night as I was watching another Royal Wedding recap, and I realized that the reason I am so pumped and over-the-moon excited is because everything about the Wedding was GOOD!!
Anymore, it seems like every time I turn on the TV, watch the News, read the newspaper, or go to a movie, violence, evil, and disappointment are always involved and is can be so discouraging. However, the Royal Wedding was filled with hope, excitment, beauty, fun, and everything that was GOOD in life! For a brief moment we could escape from the hardships of life, and be swept into a fairy tale world of flowers, dresses, hats, and a ROYAL kiss!!
Life is soooo good, and it was such a refreshing experience to turn on the TV and see something so amazing day play out before my eyes!! Awwww.......... :-)
Okay, thanks for letting me explain, now the fun part!! Moving Forward - As you know, my Royal Wedding party of one grew into a Royal Wedding Viewing Party with my good work friend, Laney. After lots of chatter last week at work about the Wedding, we decided on Thursday to have an All Night Viewing Party.
I arrived at Laney's House a little before 10pm with a few party supplies in hand. We kicked off the night eating little snacks and talking about life. I only met Laney a few months ago when I changed jobs, and she is truly one of my funniest, supporting, and honest gals I know and I am so excited we had the night to catch up on life and laugh the whole night long. Here is are few pics from our BIG ROYAL NIGHT!!
1:00 a.m. - We are getting comfy, and watching British TV online!! We are getting excited!
2:00 a.m. - We have officially decided NOT to sleep, and we are catching up on life, all things Royal, and all that fun stuff. (We also had matching head-decorations)
3:00 a.m. Time for HIGH TEA!! We fixed 'traditional English Breakfast Tea' and enjoyed the day a little tea, and it also kept us awake!
4:00 a.m. - LIVE coverage of the Wedding on TV has just started, and I am soooo pumped!
5:00 a.m. - We are on a roll. Wedding guests were starting to arrive, and we had comments on the EVERYONE'S fashion choices.
6:30 a.m. - The Wedding is underway, and we are so excited. Computer and TV still going.
8:20 a.m. - We arrive to work in time to watch the final moments of the day! To celebrate we had Royal Blue Rings!! (aka Ring Pops that totally turned our mouths blue!)
8:25 a.m. - We made it in time to watch THIS!! Awww.......perfect way to end the night, and start the day!
8:30 a.m. - Time to head to our office...........Cheerio!!!
And, of course I cannot end this post without a few notes on my favorite pics of the day!!!
Leaving for their Honeymoon!!!
Hope you had a fantastic time watching the Royal Wedding!! And, as Matt Lauer said at the end of the ceremony, where do we go from here? For me, its back to reality. Spending a quiet weekend in Knoxville, getting our home organized and a little shopping done.
Have a great weekend!
Cheers!
