Its Monday, and I am still not liking that I had to lose an hour yesterday. However, I have realized that I cannot do anything about it, and I will just have to make the most of it. Ha!! This week is going to be "interesting". I have a lot of odd personal and professional things going on this week, and hoping that by Friday, I can feel semi-accomplished.
I did have a great weekend though! Matt and I took advantage of having a morning off before the time change, and slept in Saturday morning. When we finally rolled out of bed, we decided to head home to see our parents for the weekend. Matt dropped me off at my parents house, and mom and I headed "to town" for a little shopping. It always makes me laugh to think of our sayings. My parents live in a town 15 minutes between three larger towns, and that is where all the shopping and retails stores are located. Growing up, we always said we are "going to town" = Johnson City; "up town" = Bristol; and "across town" = Kingsport. Ha! Anyways............mom and I headed to Johnson City to check out one of my favorite shoe stores. I ended up getting three new pair:
Mom and I then stopped by the mall and hit a few other stores before heading home. We then headed to Matt's parents house and then"up-town" for dinner. We were all craving seafood, but the wait was tooo long and ended up at one of our favorites O'Charley's. After a fun dinner we ended up heading to my bro-in-laws house for a little tv watching and catching up on life. Its always good to slow down and catch up with family, and I am so fortunate for both of my families!!
Sunday was different, because we lost the hour of sleep, and I ended up not getting up until 11:00 a.m. the new time. I spent the afternoon with my parents and helping dad work on a new project he is interested in. Matt and I then headed back to Knoxville mid-afternoon, and he headed off to participate in a baseball draft, and I worked and did laundry....fun huh??
This week is a little different; however, I think it will be good in switching some stuff up. I hope you have a great week ahead!!!
