#1 My Relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ - I am blessed beyond words that the Lord chose me to call His Child. My heart's desire is for Him to use me for HIS GLORY, not for mine. I want people to see Christ through me, and His faithfulness through my life. I am not perfect, BY FAR, however, I strive to serve Him each and everyday.
#2 My Relationship with my husband, Matt - I am blessed to be spending my 15th Christmas with Matt. Our lives have faced some ups and downs; however, Matt is my best friend and the love of my life. I am blessed each day to call him my husband, and look forward to many years ahead.
#3 My Relationship with my Parents - I am blessed with two incredible parents who give the best advice, always listen, and are always supportive. They have given me an incredible life, and taught me how to achieve anything I put my mind too. They are always there, and I love and appreciate them more and more with each passing year.
#4 My Relationship with my Family - Being an only child, family is always important to me. My aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws are such blessings in my life. I have always had a supporting family, and even though we get older and I do not get to see them often enough, I pray daily for each one of them and that the Lord may meet every need and desire of their hearts.
#5 My Relationship with my Friends - Someone once told me, if you could count your close friends on one hand, you were lucky. Well, I am overwhelmed and blessed to say that I don't have enough fingers or toes to count the people I call a close friend. I am blessed with so many wonderful friendships. From work colleagues from past and present, to school friends, ministry friends, community friends, etc. I just feel so blessed to have incredible women to call. And, nothing proved more true than this year when I found myself in the hospital and so many close friends called, sent cards, flowers, texts, emails, and even took time out of their busy lives to visit. They each teach me something new, and it is an honor to share life with them.
#6 My Career - This year, I changed jobs. Not because I was unhappy, I loved my old job; however, I was ready for a change and to be stretched. I knew to grow in my career, I had to be challenged to a new level. And, boy am I. However, I am blessed to have a job that I enjoy going to work for, and that I adore the people I work with. We are all passionate about our jobs, and it is exciting to adventure into this new path. And, I am truly living by "If something is worth having, it is worth working hard for."
#7 A Church Family and Women's Ministry - About a year ago, Matt and I began attending a church called Northstar, and we have never looked back. The people in the congregation are incredible, and the relationships I have made while serving in Women's Ministry are amazing too. I adore the Women's Leadership Team, and look forward to many great times ahead as we serve the Lord in 2011.
I am so blessed this Christmas Season. I wish you a Very Merry Christmas!
