Amazing Birthday..........yes, even at this age!!!

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! I just returned home from celebrating one of the best birthdays I have experienced in a long time!! I've never planned a trip around my birthday, yet after this weekend, I am thinking this may become a new tradition. It was great to get "out of town" with my hubby, and all our plans just fell into place.

However, before the weekend could begin, many of the folks I work with took me to lunch to celebrate. I cannot not tell you how blessed I am to work with such amazing people. When I switched jobs this summer, I was so sad to be leaving the friendships of my co-workers. However, I have been overwhelmed by the amazing people I work with each and every day. Their level of excellence in everything they do, and their compassion for each other, is something that is so special. Here is a group pic.............

Christine and Tracy

Christine and I began at the same time, and Tracy is my precious office neighbor. Just love them both each day!!

Rachael posing for the pic! (Robb was our photographer for the day.)

And, to my surprise, my second family the staff of the Chamber were also dining at Downtown Grill and Brewery, and I caught a picture with them.

After a fun Birthday Lunch and working a little on Saturday, Matt and I headed to Nashville for my birthday celebration. First stop, SHOPPING at Greenhills Mall. Then we headed to our hotel, Hilton Downtown, and dinner at Jimmy Buffett's new Margaritaville. We had a great dinner, and did a little shopping in the Buffett Gift Shop!!

Click on the photo below, to see a "behind the scenes" video tour to the restaurant. I loved the piano staircase. Lots of fun.

We also learned that Jimmy had played on Thursday evening.....so close, yet so far away.

After dinner, we headed back to the room and got ready for the Michael Buble concert. Again, Buble did not disappoint, and we had an incredible time listening to some of our favorite songs. Plus, he is soooo funny.

Great Seats!!!

Love this pic, with Michael in the background in the light. He performed in the back of the arena for a few songs.

After the concert, we headed back to the hotel, which was right across the street. Amazing location. So thankful all the details came together. On Monday, we headed to breakfast and a little outlet shopping. By the time we got back to Knoxville, we decided to finish our weekend by heading to the mall to making a HUGE dent in our holiday gifts.

As for B-Day gifts, I am loving the new video camera:

The Kodak Video Camera. Think this will be a great gadget to capture some great videos of life's celebrations. (So be expecting more videos here on the blog!)

New Scarf for my purse. Since Operation Save the Purse worked, we thought my bag needed a little decoration to celebrate the victory.

Nine West Boots!!! Been looking for square toe boots for awhile, and these are perfect.

Finally, my birthday weekend would not have been such an great time, if it hadn't have been for my amazing husband, Matt. He always goes out of his way to make things perfect, and we had an incredible time just spending time together and just enjoying our time together.

Also, THANK YOU for all your sweet birthday messages, cards, texts, phone calls and love. I have an incredible group of family and friends. I am so blessed, and looking forward to what Year 31 has in store, so far, things are off to a great start.
