VA and DC Fun

I recently took a work trip to DC and VA, and the week was filled with lots of work and lots of laughter.  Usually those two things don't go together, but for a few days in late October those two things worked together beautifully. 

I kicked off the work week with a long to-do list and only two days in the office.  By Wednesday, I was ready to hit the road with two awesome colleagues and we traveled to Roanoke, Richmond, and Washington DC. We met with a lot of new media contacts, and secured a few editorial stories for upcoming articles.  We laughed our way through Virginia, and rolled back into Tennessee late Friday night. On our last night together, we grabbed dinner in Washington D.C. and met up with a friend who hosted us at POV.

What a fun night.  And, we ended our time in DC meeting with writers from major publications and even scored a MAJOR article in a national newspaper in 2017.  EEEKKK!!  It was an awesome week. And, we laughed on the way home, because a lot of time on work trips you rush home at the end of the trip, but our team really enjoyed being with each other and actually really enjoyed the 6-7 hour drive back to Tennessee with even more laughter and good stories.
