After weeks of MAJOR project deadlines and traveling all last week, I am ready for a week in the office, and hoping to get home at a descent hour each night. I have a hectic schedule of meetings and in-office projects; however, I'm hoping things can get in a good rhythm this week.
However, before I get too ahead of myself I wanted to share a couple of bible studies I am jumping into this summer. I am really trying to get back in the habit of making my Quiet Time with the Lord a morning habit again, and I can't think of a better way that to get involved in an in-depth study and also read through a book that I have heard great reviews from.
1. Nehemiah - I’ve been waiting for this announcement and it’s finally here…the 2012 Siesta Summer Bible Study by Beth Moore! The summer bible study will officially begin on June 26, 2012 and Beth has selected the book Nehemiah by Kelly Minter.
Nehemiah: A Heart That Can Break – Member Book by Kelly Minter is a 7-session Bible study for women. Nehemiah’s heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. Like Kelly’s other studies in the Living Room Series, you’ll find authentic Bible teaching, recipes, and a relational approach. Check out this video about the book:
2. One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are - This book is our summer study at church.
Here is the Amazon description: 'Just like you, Ann Voskamp hungers to live her one life well. Forget the
bucket lists that have us escaping our everyday lives for exotic
experiences. 'How,' Ann wondered, 'do we find joy in the midst of
deadlines, debt, drama, and daily duties? What does the Christ-life
really look like when your days are gritty, long--and sometimes even
dark? How is God even here?' In One Thousand Gifts, Ann invites you to
embrace everyday blessings and embark on the transformative spiritual
discipline of chronicling God's gifts. It's only in this expressing of
gratitude for the life we already have, we discover the life we've
always wanted...a life we can take, give thanks for, and break for
others. We come to feel and know the impossible right down in our bones:
we are wildly loved--by God. Let Ann's beautiful, heart-aching stories
of the everyday give you a way of seeing that opens your eyes to
ordinary amazing grace, a way of being present to God that makes you
deeply happy, and a way of living that is finally fully alive. Come
live the best dare of all!'

3. Proverbs 31 Woman - I actually started this study a month ago. Its a 14-week study; however, I am only doing the online version. Its such a great reminder of what kind of woman the Lord has called me to be. Click here to join in the online study.
Are you participating in any studies this summer? Would love to hear your ideas.
