Striving to Live a Life of Adventure, Excellence, and Faith.

Found the Love Of My Life at 16!

The year was 1996.  I was 16 years old, tan, had a two-seater sports car, loved playing tennis, and had more friends than a girl knew what to do with.  I worked for dad's office a few days a week, and loved gossiping with my friends on the phone 24-7.  I was loving life and single for the first time all year, and life was good.

One evening (June 29), I went on a blind date with a guy who was two year's my senior and who had just graduated from high school and on his way to UT in Fall.  Its a night I can still remember so vividly.  He picked me, we had a double-date with mutual friends, watched the movie Money Train, and enjoyed the evening swinging and just talking.

Many people say that your life can't change in a day; however, that day it did.  I met my longtime love, my future husband, the man I will love and cherish forever.

The year was 2007.  It was a perfect day, and I was giddy.  I was 27 years old, college graduate, not sure what I wanted to do with my life, and surrounded by more friends than a girl knew what do with.  I had dreamed of this day for 11 years, and all my wishes were coming true. I had a pretty dress, my home church, and surrounded by love of my closest friends and family.

That evening (June 29), I walked down the aisle and became Mrs. Davis.  I left the old me at the door, and embraced marriage with my whole heart and soul.  That sweet boy that picked me up when I was 16, was there for me at the alter.  I can remember every detail of that day.  Our wedding ceremony was special, followed by a fun filled reception, that has taken me years to really be able to appreciate

The year is 2012.  Its been 5 years since we said "I Do."  I feel that I am better version of me.  I have LOVED turning 30, because I am truly understanding who I am.  I love that my house is a home.  That my marriage is fun and entertaining.  That my husband is my best friend.  And, that my life is simply the best.

Today (June 29), we have lots of fun things in store.  We will be surrounded by good friends, with lots of love from our friends and family.  I hope to remember the details of the day, and know that for this time, I am truly happy and honored for the life the Lord has given me to live.

Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband.  These last five (5) years have been an absolute blessing. We laugh a lot and truly enjoy spending quality time together.  You are my one true love, and mean more to me than I ever say.  My favorite place is where you are, and my favorite times are when we are together.  You don't judge me and love me unconditionally, and I love you the same.

I love our family of "six," with our "boys" and "lil Princess."  We are making our house a home, and our family traditions keep growing each year.  I will always stand by your side, and pray daily that the Lord will continue to bless our marriage and our love for each other.

You are truly a gift from the Lord, and I love, adore, cherish, and admire the man you are.
