Good Sunday Morning!! I am having a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!! I am getting lots of rest, organizing and packing a little, catching up on my fav. shows on the DVR, and even getting to hang out with good friends! Things in life are going well. I know I haven't done a true "life update" in a few weeks, and thought today was a good day to stop and share some of the New Things Going on in our life. I always like keeping up with close friends and family through this blog; however, its also a great way to journal my life throughout the years, just in a public way. Ha!
1. Still Looking........Finding Nothing!
As I wrote last week, Matt and I are looking to buy a new home in Knoxville, and I think the easy part was selecting a mortgage company and getting all of our paperwork in order. Finding a home is a lot more difficult than I thought. I spend hours online looking through homes, then once we get a list of homes we like, we drive to the neighborhoods and look the house. If we like the neighborhood and the house in person, we then call our real estate agent and schedule a showing. So, I wanted to ask. Do you have any advice on someone looking for a home? Any tips on finding "the one?"
2. Going Public
I was thrilled to wake up Saturday morning to find myself quoted in an Associated Press Story about tourism in Tennessee. I worked with an AP reporter last month pitching Knoxville, and was thrilled to learn he mentioned our city and a quote from me in the story. 4. I fed a Giraffe and hung out with a Penguin this week!
