Its Official.......We Are Members!

Three and half years ago, the Lord led Matt and I to begin our married life living in Knoxville. It was an incredibly difficult decision on my end, because it meant leaving my family, my close circle of friends, and my church. I had spent 4 years rebuilding my life after college in the Tri-Cities, and now the Lord was moving me away from what I treasured most.

These folks were my 2nd Family, and they walked with me as I truly gave the Lord my entire heart.

In 2007, I found myself in Knoxville, a few Sundays after our wedding, asking myself...."What's next Lord" "God, where are you leading us?" For three years, He quietly led us through a journey that was so unknown to me, that sometimes I wondered if we would EVER find a place we could worship and truly felt A PART of a church.

Looking back over the past 34 months, I am AMAZED how much my reliance on God has become, and how much its not all about ministry, its not all about church committees, its not all about church growth, (and those are all important), but MY RELATIONSHIP has become all about myself and the LORD! Oh, I can't begin to express my love for my Jesus in a few words. He has healed me, delivered me, encouraged me, forgiven me, freed me, and most of all LOVED me into a place where I can serve again.

In saying all that, I am thrilled to say that Matt and I have found and joined a church in Knoxville. NorthStar Church. We have found a place where we feel at home, we can worship freely, and we can be encouraged in the Word in our Christian walks with the Lord.

In speaking about prayer, I would like to ask for prayer for Matt & I as we begin our journey at Northstar. We know that the Lord has called us to attend and serve there; however, I am unsure where to start. My heart is always in student ministry, however, if there is a need in the church we want to be able for God to use us to achieve His Will for this Body.
