I soon realized the 85th Knoxville Veterans Day Parade is the largest Veterans Parade in the Southeast. The parade lasted almost an hour and a half (1 1/2). And, that's when the emotions began.
The National Anthem, Moment of Silence, Taps, Honoring the Veterans, Honoring the Families of Veterans, yup, you name it, I was emotional.
Here are some pics taken by the News Sentinel and Enjoy Knoxville, that I wanted to share:
Members of the Bearden High School NJROTC march down Gay St. during the 84th annual Veteran's Day Parade Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009.
Taken on top of our building. Love the effects
Today truly reminded me how blessed we are to live in the greatest country on earth. I am honored of our service men and women, and honored that through our history we have learned to honor those who serve, protect, and give their lives for all Americans.
Happy Veterans Day!
