Matt and I headed home Sunday morning to spend the day with our parents. I have been out-of-it the past few weeks, and to be honest not really enjoying life. Matt and I have been running in different directions and work has been hectic; that by the time I woke up Sunday all I could think about was a short road trip home. And, as soon as I mentioned going home, Matt quickly agreed. The drive takes us about two-hours, and our conversation in the car was much needed.
There is something about "home" that makes things come into perspective and really appreciate the important things in life. Family and good friends are so important, and it seems lately I have been too busy to enjoy those two precious things. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures; however, I decided to list the top 10 things about today, 10-10-10.
1. Spending some much needed time with my hubby. We had great conversations. Made some definite plans for our upcoming vacation, and even talked about Christmas presents. :-)
2. Finally got to listen to our two new CDs by Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band. Both are excellent, and I would recommend both.
3. Spending time with my In-Laws. I am so blessed with some of the best in-laws. My mother and father - in - law are so loving and giving, and my bro-in-law is like a true brother to me. So excited to spend time with my family.
4. Spending time with my mom. I had a couple of hours to run by my house and visit mom. It was great to have some mom/daughter time.
5. Talking to one of my favorite people and closest friend, Allison. Alli is 35 weeks pregnant, and we got to catch up on all things baby, and I am convinced her baby-to-be is going to be a girl. Allison and her husband are not finding out; however, I just know the baby is a GIRL.
6. PALS - I LOVE eating at PALS, and as we left town I had to grab a peachy tea! Yum!!
7. Took some time, and FINALLY signed up for Four Square. Now if I can figure out how to work it and actually be active in all things Four Square. Any tips?
8. Organized. I took time this evening and organized my work for the week, bible study schedule, clothes for the week, cleaning schedule, etc. I love being organized. I feel a little more "in control" of my hectic life.
9. Home cooked food. We ate lunch at Matt's home, and the home cooked food was yummy, and I loved the banana pudding. Its been a while since I have eaten a home cooked meal......bc Matt and I are always eating out or take-out.
10. I got to smile a lot today. I really enjoyed the day, and got to laugh a lot with my hubby, family, and friends. And, those memories are priceless.
Have a GREAT week!!!
