Good Friends.........through the tough and the exciting!

I began Monday with a 7:00 a.m. meeting, and I believe it has made it seem like today should have been Friday....and its only Wednesday. The week is going well. Today, I was able to take a few hours and visit a good friend that has been going through a big change in her life. I was so excited to see her, but the visit was bittersweet and my words could not express the sadness I felt for her situation. I was truly humbled by her strength, and I am so thankful for good friends and God's love for us.

On the flip side, another close friend called this evening with exciting news that she and her hubby are expecting a baby. I am so thrilled for her, and can' wait to journey through this stage in life together. We've been through a lot of life together, and this journey will be another step in life together.

I've been thinking a lot of friendships recently, and I cannot express how much the Lord has blessed me with good friends and Christian Sisters. When I moved to Knoxville a few years ago, I was unsure if I would ever have close "girlfriends" in this city, and I can honestly say that three years later the number of close friends are more than I can count on two fingers. And, the se ladies touch my life each day are truly sweet gifts from the Lord.

God really does take care of all the little details.........doesn't He?
